Night #2 -Tuesday. I've never had much interest in things historical - maybe it was that high school teacher, who was also a coach. But I'm pretty absorbed in Ambrose's very detailed account of Meriweather Lewis (and Clark to come), the times and thinking...and the admirable Jefferson - makes today's politicians seem pretty peevish and just plain dumb. And it works well as an audio book....14 CDs.
Don't ever stop at a Wendys (affiliated with a truckstop) and order a salad! I am threatening to travel with a food resusitation kit - a vial of olive oil, a pepper grinder and a lemon....Mott has pepperoncino oil (Mott's Hott) with him....has yet to make a spectacle of himself in an Applebees.
